The Green Team (Breathe California, Silicon Valley Clean Cities Coalition, and the Electronic Transportation Development Center) in collaboration with Electro Automotive has hosted (5) Three-day Electric Vehicle Tech Trainings (January 14 -16, March 18 – 20, April 15 - 17, July 15 - 17, and September 16 – 18, 2011) at the office of Breathe California in San Jose.

The training was conducted by Mike Brown and Shari Prange from Electro Automotive. The material covered performance, cost, environmental, and energy aspects of electric vehicles; AC vs. DC systems; components of the vehicles; conversion of internal combustion vehicles to electric power; driving, charging, and maintenance; troubleshooting; and more. Vehicle components and a running vehicle were on hand. 

The Electric Vehicle Tech Training Program is on-going venture with the purpose of developing a trained workforce for the emerging job sector of green transportation as well as educating potential electric vehicle buyers and users.
